Still Got a Bone to Pick with the Boneheads.

So, I'm scanning the global 'What The Hell Is Happening Now' feed for June 1st, 2025. And it's the usual comfort blanket of chaos, isn't it?

First up, Novak Djokovic has apparently won his *99th* French Open match. Ninety-nine. At this point, are they even playing tennis, or is it just a deeply elaborate, ritualistic surrender by anyone who draws him in the first round? 'Oh, it's Novak. Right. Save on laundry. Anyone for an early lunch?' You have to admire the efficiency. He's less a tennis player now and more a force of nature, like erosion, but with better backhand.

Then we've got the US HHS Secretary threatening to stop scientists from publishing in major medical journals. Because, you know, what the world *really* needs during potential bird flu pandemics and when diseases are spreading is *less* information. It's a bold strategy. 'Keep the science secret, keep the people safe...ly ignorant.' It's like trying to win a staring contest by gouging your own eyes out. 'They can't see my fear if I can't see their data!' Genius. Pure, unadulterated, 'what could possibly go wrong?' genius.

And, of course, because it's a day ending in 'Y,' there's a bridge collapse in Russia. This time, it was due to 'illegal interference.' You have to wonder what constitutes 'legal interference' with a bridge. Is there a permit for that? 'Yeah, just a bit of light, approved bridge-weakening. Nothing to see here. Got the paperwork.' They say the train derailed. No kidding. Bridge goes 'boom,' train goes 'whoops.' It's the kind of physics even I can understand.

Meanwhile, Australia's Defense Minister is 'open to discussing' spending more on defense, possibly up to 5% of GDP, because someone in the US suggested it. Five percent! For that kind of money, I'd expect every Australian citizen to get their own personal, laser-equipped kangaroo. 'G'day, mate... and prepare to be vaporized.' It's good to know that while the bridges are collapsing and the science is being hidden, at least the global game of 'Mine's Bigger Than Yours, and It Explodes' is still getting top-tier funding.

Priorities, people. Priorities.
